The AIA suite has two components, namely, Integration Foundation Packs and Pre-built Integrations. Both these components are available in vanilla and industry specific Packs. The Pre-built Integrations are of two types, namely, Process Integration Packs (PIPs) and Direct Integrations. The Direct Integrations manage data flows/synchronizations. PIPs combine integration styles such as data-centric, web services, reference data and process-centric.

Under the SOA domain Oracle has four streams running, namely, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Stream, Business Process Mangement (BPM) Stream, Event Driven Architecture (EDA) Stream and Governance Stream.

The SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) Stream consists of six components, namely, BPEL Process Manager (not called BPM), Human Workflow, Adapters, Business Rules, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), and B2B.

The operations in the entity EBS should only act on the relevant business object and not any other business object. Operations that act on more than one business object should naturally reside in the process EBS.

Each identified EBF would have a corresponding business process EBS. The operations within this EBS are the entry points to EBFs.

Identifying the interaction pattern for EBS operations
1. Based on the understanding of the business process requirement from the functional design, identify the triggering event for the EBS operation.
